About your teacher...

Hi, I’m Emily.

I'm a professional writer with a focus on visual storytelling. In my twenties I published music reviews and poetry, now I write TV and films. I've also been a tarot hobbyist for 7 years and am very passionate about using tarot as a tool for writing.

Writers are always looking for new tricks to help invigorate their practice and I developed this course for that exact reason. Both writing and tarot are forms of channeling, which is why they pair so well. But even if you don't believe that, there's a dada-esque perspective to the exercises we do in this workshop that will serve any writing practice.

I've hosted this course live, remotely with writers who work in gaming, documentary, memoir, features, and more, and we always have a lot of fun and work through blocks in a way that surprises and excites participants.
